Sensei Ganesh Chabukswar has been affiliated with AKAOMA/IMGKA (International Meibukan GojuRyu Karatedo Association) for the last 25 years. Sensei Ganesh Chabukswar holds a 3rd Degree Black Belt. Instructor and Coach at both the Phadke Mandir Dojo and Yashwant Rao Dojo in Mumbai. His expertise extends beyond the dojo, as he actively engages in spreading the art of Karate and self-defence in various educational institutions throughout Mumbai, including Queen Mary School, St. Columba Girls High School, Marwari Commercial School, Saifee High School, St. Anne International School and Hume High School.
Beyond his achievements in the sport, Sensei Ganesh Chabukswar is passionate about empowering others, particularly women, through self-defence. He has conducted women’s self-defence seminars in various settings, demonstrating his commitment to the safety and well-being of the community.
Sensei Sandesh S Waghmare is a dedicated martial artist with a significant history in the practice of Karate. Affiliated with AKAOMA/ IMGKA (International Meibukan Gojuryu Karatedo Association) for the past 21 years, he has shown unwavering commitment to this traditional martial art. In all his endeavours, Sensei Sandesh S Waghmare embodies the core principle that Karate is about discipline, and the first discipline is the unwavering commitment to showing up and giving your best every day.
Sensei Akshay Kadam is a sports business graduate and 3rd Degree Karate black belt. He hails from a family of karatekas with his father and sister both professional karate coaches. While practising martial arts from the age of three, his passion for contact sport started at a young age. Sensei Akshay’s contributions to the sports industry, both through his martial arts instruction and his role as a project manager for major sporting events, highlight his multifaceted talents and his commitment to ensuring the success of sports events in India.
As the Assistant Instructor at St Mary High School (S.S.C) in Mumbai, Sensei Akshay plays a pivotal role in nurturing the next generation of martial artists. It’s evident that his leadership and guidance have had a significant impact on his students, as they have achieved notable success in various Karate tournaments. Sensei Akshay’s role as an educator and mentor not only instils martial arts skills but also shapes the character and values of the young individuals under his guidance.
Sensei Satish C Kutty’s martial arts journey is truly remarkable. Over the course of 18 years, he has dedicated himself to the practice of Karate within the AKAOMA/IMGKA (International Meibukan Gojuryu Karatedo Association) and achieved a prestigious 3rd Degree Black Belt title. As the chief instructor at the Kalina Dojo in Mumbai, he has played a pivotal role in nurturing the next generation of martial artists.
The fact that the Kalina Dojo has been thriving for 12 years is a testament to Sensei Satish’s commitment and leadership. What’s even more impressive is the impact he has had on his students, with 6 of them achieving the esteemed rank of Black Belt under his guidance.

Sempai Hetal R Velunde, holding a Shodan (1st Degree Black belt), has been practising Karate for the past 10 years under the guidance of Sensei Anil L Kadam and team AKAOMA.
The learning of martial arts has helped her increase self-confidence, which is useful for facing different challenges in life. She believes that practising Karate is not only important for maintaining physical fitness but also contributes to mental well-being, serving as a stress reliever. In addition to her personal practice, she has transitioned into the role of an assistant instructor/coach for the students of St Columba Girls High School in Mumbai.
